Watch the rally start to get dissed - "No conviction" or "low volume rally", BULL TRAP -- look back just to the February sell-off, 7 to 8 weeks is about the norm // acrophobia in some sectors and loss of confidence (aka profit taking) BUT nothing has really changed yet - "experts" change the yak to fit the market, e.g., UP "climbing the wall of worry" so the wall is still there but the climbers are WHERE?
Oil price about the same as 12 mos ago -- ECB still a year away from a hike - whole new cast of characters coming on BOARD (brazil, germany, EU, mexico, etc.) -- USD and RATES RATES RATES

Crack the 2600 level in the S and P and watch the fun and games begin. This year no Christmas rally.

Joe Lavorgna -- "Fed much too academic and too focused on the unemployment rate, but I feel Powell is starting to change".

My sentiments exactly.

Mtl JP  11:21:57 GMT - 11/23/2018
U should hear the inefficient / un-savvy canadian oil producers AND politicians ranging from Alberta's premier Naughtley to canadian PM justin "pretty hair and sox" trudeau squeal and rage about what canadian crude is fetching, namely approx 40-50 bux under price of benchmark. (WCS getting between $10-15/bbl)

Smart and savvy (vertically integrated) producers are being made out to be villains in current market condition.

IF I think conspiratorially, I can appreciate the Russian rather enjoying watching the S/Arab getting less for his oil particularly as he is in need of cash to continue to buy Canadian and Murrikan toys of war and finance his socio-economic morphing ambitions.

Mtl JP  11:09:57 GMT - 11/23/2018
john 10:47 I like to think it is the Russian. he said earlier he is NOT interested in coddling the s-arab about supplies

saudis have no choice but to grin and bare it given assumed deal over khashoggi with trump...question of how far trump wants it before it eats too much into us production side. think 42-47 is where it needs to before it can base.

GVI Trader john  10:47:02 GMT - 11/23/2018
Red- thanks I was just about to post that WTI continues to fall. Lots of oil in the system. Not sure if the Saudis continue to over-produce.
