Maybe it has started - what if we gave a sanction and nobody cared -- India, Iran, Russia and China together pose a risk to a Foreign policy based on trade (indirectly to the USD) BUT throw in Allies like Canada, the EU and Japan -- HUFF and PUFF is doomed // Watching the Prez facial expressions at question time I judge he is a poor Poker Player -- based on his dipping of the head and eyes closed after describing China Deal early this AM I'd say there is no deal or weak beer at best -- ever wonder why he repeats his superlatives?

Data Dependent -- Who initiated this wonderful telephone conversation? Prez may be setting himself up for a super friendly 'greeting' by XI in a crowded room (HELLO my friend the President, handshake and then quickly turn to the next Friend he spies (no pun) w/ no conversation or time for Trump response // followed by schedule conflicts (real politicians know how to work a room and snub w/ faint praise)

AND everybody gets the same data but the interpretation is KEY - was NFP weak because hires are hard to find? Was CPI really weak - gasoline Unadj was up 2.4% (5.7% and 6.5% prev) but drove the ADJ total fig lower? - Housing fig lower (but beat the EXP) because of a 45k increase to prior mth

the Fed and Market KIDZ and pet algos will respond to DATA but do you trust the interpretation?

ECB's Draghi: Committed to price stability objective; more rate cuts are part of tool kit - speaking at ECB forum in Sintra -

If outlook does not improve then additional stimulus will be needed

- All options were raised and discussed at the last policy meeting - Interest-rate cuts and more QE are part of its arsenal.

- ECB has headroom for more asset purchases
- If we are to deliver that value of inflation in the medium term, inflation has to be above that level.

- We will use all the flexibility within our mandate to fulfill our mandate

- Negative rates have proven to be a very important tool in the Euro area
