In the end, the president will be determined by who is recognized as president. Both Biden and Trump suffer from the fact that significant portions of the population refuse to recognize them as president.
But who will the courts recognize as the president? The military? The "deep state"? They all have what appear to be obvious preferences, but sometimes things aren't as obvious as they seem. It's easy to follow the media and say "Biden is the president", but what happens when "red America won't follow him" and the truckers go on strike? If you're blue America, you can burn down all the cities you want, but it won't change any minds.
The constitution and the various election laws have procedures and safeguards to deal with this sort of thing. But when massive cheating occurs, where do you turn?

Legally speaking, right now there is no president elect. It is assumed that Biden is the president elect, but the election is disputed. Until the disputes are resolved in the courts, there is no president-elect.
Practically speaking, Biden's status will be determined by the electoral college and by the GSA. The electoral college will perform the actual election (which has not happened yet), and the GSA will do the grunt work of setting up the physical office, hire staffers, install furniture and telephones, etc.
The media have proclaimed Biden the president-elect, and Biden calls himself that, but it isn't so...not yet.

cant see obvious value at index level right now, since off back of big run pre todays additions. they may throw baby out with bath water in some areas that is associated with "online but has more to it than that". those areas will make good purchases on a 12-24 month basis. pure online may suffer for a bit longer. as usual case any bigger dips in tech worth buying as TINA.

Personal Observations: There is now no doubt that Joe Biden is the next U.S. President. Nevertheless President Trump has yet to concede. Nevertheless, the vote counting drags on. Nothing is going to change when its completed. The State of Georgia still will have two run-off elections for key U.S. Senate seats.
Equity markets are opening the new week in a RISK-ON posture. EURUSD has failed at another run at 1.1900.That level could still be in play. Brexit negotiations continue to hang fire, but should soon be resolved one way or another.
The Coronavirus continues to hang like a cloud over major economies and should keep central banks in an accommodative posture for a good while to come.
