In France and Europe in general there is extreme scepticism about Covid. See Didier Raoult. I won't bother posting links suffice to say the PCR test is bogus HCQ works and is used extensively in Italy. Court cases are now starting in Italy regarding fraud. And initial deaths were in large part manslaughter of vulnerable, isolated elderly people in nursing homes. This happened in Italy and France and, it seems, in New York.
There is treatment for this virus, total deaths in 2020 are no different than any other year and the lockdowns caused immense and unnecessary economic chaos.

Well, I am betting that he will be forgotten faster than damned Jimmy Carter.
The rift in this country is at heights rarely seen. The violence in the streets is dark. Red and Blue are now enemies and not part of a great Republic. My son is a clever, good American who served in the Peace Corps for 3 years, He is clever enough to have invented a game he sold to a large toy company and he even speaks a little French. I put a lot of hope in Trump. Being an extreme capitalists who thinks that democracy is a big hoax (when 100,000 people vote for one candidate and 100,001 vote for another---and win the elections--democracy is the rule of ONE PERSON!), believing that PC is the curse of our society, that JIHADIC ISLAM should be erased from the face of the Earth ( and Trump was the BEST president supporting this view) ....list goes on and on... I would have LOVED to see Trump having another session. But his behavior with the CORONA Destroyed everything. I called it OBM==One Big Mistake---and for this he HAD TO pay. His behavior last year was of a megalomaniac wacko and he should not been allowed to guide this country for another 4 years. Biden is a zero but a zero is much better than minus 10.

from the Upper Hudson Valley.
Donald Trump found out the hard way how illusory his powers as POTUS really were, conditioned against the inertia, malice, and bad faith resistance of the bureaucratic establishment, a.k.a. the Swamp. He also knows that the Swamp just worked the system it created to elect itself president as (it likes to think) a final act of revenge against the orange interloper who threatened to drain it and, alas, failed to. All hail President Swamp!
Unless that doesn’t pan out, and there’s a fair chance it won’t, since a 2020 election fraud case will eventually land in the Supreme Court where at least five justices might not be so inclined to let what remains of the Republic roll into a Woke sludge of lawlessness. Do you suppose Clarence Thomas & Co haven’t been paying attention the past four years to the swampish doings in the other branches of government? And that they are, just perhaps, good and goddam sick of it? Everything from RussiaGate and the manipulation of the FISA court through the attempted character assassination of Justice Kavanaugh, to the Eric Ciaramella “whistleblower” impeachment caper starring Rep. Adam Schiff, plus all the side dishes of Antifa / BLM street anarchy, Covid-19 lockdown tyranny, French Laundry hypocrisy, and the gaslighting of America by the news-and-social media, with a transsexual reading hour cherry-on-top?
I hope the justices are pissed off a little bit at the hijacking of this country by a party that laughs at the law the way, for one example, DC District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan blew raspberries at the Department of Justice and the DC Circuit Court of Appeals when they both told him to drop the Flynn case. The deadline for adjudicating the janky election is soon upon us, and upon the SCOTUS justices, so the country will know shortly whether it has become the Honduras of the north.
An honest assessment of the Trump presidency will reveal that Trump is/was a classic centrist. To say that "Trump is the worst thing to happen to the US" says a lot more about the one saying it than him.
He got a lot of stuff done, and left a lot of stuff undone. To those who voted for him, he did his job to the best of his ability given the circumstances. While he historically has had a crass personality, his display of such attributes during his time in office is not out of line compared to other recent presidents. Scandals were largely made up by his political opponents, and not created by him or his staff. He got the US out of war more than he got the country into a war, which is a lot more than can be said of any recent president.
If he leaves office early, he'll be missed.

In places like Yemen and Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, the lives of millions of young men like those three dead Somalis (some of them boys, really, since the oldest pirate was believed to be nineteen) had been warped and stunted by desperation, ignorance, dreams of religious glory, the violence of their surroundings, or the schemes of older men.
I wanted somehow to save them—send them to school, give them a trade, drain them of the hate that had been filling their heads.
And yet the world they were a part of, and the machinery I commanded, more often had me killing them instead.

Personal feelings do not generally make a solid basis for effective public policy.
Setting aside the election issues for a moment, it is clear that the US has entered an era where personal feelings are being used to justify policy making. For those of us in the US, our nation's founders recognized this as a problem very early on. It is why our nation is structured as a representative republic rather than a pure democracy.
What does this mean in real life?
1. Look for a lot of market activity to go underground (black markets).
2. Look for a return to secret communications. Twitter will be recognized for what it always was...a place for twits.
3. Look for "smoky backroom deals", but not necessarily with the current generation we have. (In other words, no Trump, Biden or Obama retreads.) New leaders will need to rise up first.
4. Policies made by non-serious people will be ignored. (This pretty much means the entire US political class as it currently stands.)

The US election has been divisive and contested and the evidence of fraud is there even if some is merely circumstantial.
FWIW I don't remember a US President who I thought was fit for the job and I think all our politicians are corrupt buffoons. Exceptions are few. Democracy is an illusion. In the EU the illusion has been discarded altogether. That's where we're at. You think Biden is working for the American people? I don't.

It is your temporary delusions that befuddle me.

I told those idiots the same thing I am telling you:
If Trump is such a nincompoop then his victory is amazing and he is very talented.
Biden is NO IDIOT. He won fair and square in spite of all your futile attempt to call otherwise. He will be a good president and all your trials to belittle him are spiteful and not realistic.
We shall see.

Why personal attacks? Is that all you've got?
This will be decided on the 6th of January, till then sit tight.
The election, regardless of outcome, will leave a deeply divided nation and a power void. FWIW according to certain theorists the aim of a contested election is exactly that.
So cut the know-it-all, partisan crap. We are all being played. You just don't happen to realise that.
jk, you are right. That is nothing compared with what goes on in Israel social networks. The blind support for Trump here was so large (he is considered the Messiah here for his transfer of the Embassy to Jerusalem and stopping the Iran agreement). They are so vehement in their arguments that every little judge in Pennsylvania, or tweet by Trump (who?) about his imminent victory and how the Supreme court will void the elections--that it is almost pathetic and imbecilic....and in the end--funny. They are so insulted by the inconceivable victory of such an incompetent idiot like Biden over their invincible hero that their psyche does not allow them to admit defeat.

Same with Covid really. I don't really buy into much of the story. Locking down was all about disrupting economic activity and causing discontent. I don't know what the plan with that is. If they don't reopen up soon I will be surprised. Buy hey, what do I know?

any chaos will be, as I noted before, will come from the Newly Disenfranchised - the Progressive Left, who thot that 'peacefull' protesting for 6 months, would win them a place in the Harris-Biden admin. My understanding is that if he does become the next President then it's back to globalisation.

In 2008, Barack Obama received the names of his entire future cabinet already one month prior to his election by CFR Senior Fellow (and Citigroup banker) Michael Froman, as a Wikileaks email later revealed. Consequently, the key posts in Obama’s cabinet were filled almost exclusively by CFR members, as was the case in most cabinets since World War II.
Michael Froman later negotiated the TPP and TTIP international trade agreements, before returning to the CFR as a Distinguished Fellow.
In 2017, CFR nightmare President Donald Trump immediately canceled these trade agreements – because he viewed them as detrimental to US domestic industry
Trump also canceled other CFR achievements, like the multinational Iran nuclear deal and the UN climate and migration agreements, and he tried, but largely failed, to withdraw US troops from East Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa, thus seriously endangering the global US empire built over decades by the CFR and its 5000 elite members.
Unsurprisingly, most of the US media, whose owners and editors are themselves members of the CFR, didn’t like President Trump. This was also true for most of the European media, whose owners and editors are members of international CFR affiliates like the Bilderberg Group and the Trilateral Commission, founded by CFR directors after the conquest of Europe during World War II.
Moreover, it was none other than the CFR which in 1996 advocated a closer cooperation between the CIA and the media, i.e. a restart of the famous CIA Operation Mockingbird. Historically, OSS and CIA directors since William Donovan and Allen Dulles have always been CFR members.
Joe Biden promised that he would form “the most diverse cabinet” in US history. This may be true in terms of skin color and gender, but almost all of his key future cabinet members h
